Scope of this Standard

This standard specifies requirements for ordinary steel nails formed from drawn wire. Included are requirements for material, dimensions, surface finish, surface coating and sampling. This standard applies to ordinary steel nails used for general purposes. It does not apply to hardened steel nails. NOTE TTS 625-2:2011, Steel nails - Part 2: Hardened steel nails specifies requirements for hardened steel nails more commonly known as concrete nails
